What kind of flowers and verse will you like at your funeral?
That was the question which I was asked. At that point in time, I could not answer, as it has never crossed my mind before.Life, being fragile can be vanquish anytime, thus should I die today, I will like to know what kind of flowers and verse do I want to be place at my funeral.
After much research, flower wise; I will like to have white Longiflorum lilies and Carnations. Lilies flower head has a trumpet shape, giving it a bold look, giving strength to the people at the funeral not to grieve, but rejoice for I have been called home to be with the Lord.
Carnations, has a more friendly and warm touch, with its petals outstretched like open arms, comforting those that are grieving, that the peace of God which passes all understanding may reside in them.
Verse wise, it has to be Psalm 23.
A Psalm of David. The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a tabble before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Amen.
