What makes this show unique? The plot where time is the foundation that it is built upon. Though it is purely fantasy, think about it. So near, yet so far. Tragic. Also, the soundtracks compose by Rachel Portman fits the show perfectly well. The Lake House itself is a beauty of its own, just gorgeous. Last but not least, there is always Keanu Reeves to look out for.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show till the end. Shall not be a spoiler, but I will have preferred the original Korean version ending. Probably the directors didn’t want to break the hearts of all Keanu fans. *Ops*
Initially, I wanted to get the soundtrack. But after watching the show, I felt that by listening to the soundtracks without the plot unfolding before me is relatively incomplete, so guess not.
Vinnie’s verdict: 7/10 (slightly bias, as I will prefer the Korean ending)
It’s a must watch for all Keanu Reeve fans and a good flick for those who is in the mood for fantasy romance.
